Io ci vengo qui da anni e mi pare di goderci una certa reputazione.
Non credo, però, che sappiano precisamente qual è il mio mestiere.

Dire, artista, sarebbe presunzione e poi non sarei inteso.
Artista qui vuol dire uno che fa cose strabilianti, per esempio
tenore o baritono; ma allora bisogna avere ville grandi, automobili
e non trattare con il popolo.

A lot of time has passed and if Panzini was right when he wrote that local fishers and farmers at that time could not even understand what a scholar really was, today his house ‘Casa Rossa’ (‘Red House’) and its park, after a being completely restored, are become the museum dedicated to the poet and a special location where important cultural events take place.
It has to be mentioned the long Summer cultural season with “Pagine sull’Onda”, by Accademia Panziniana, or the literary meetings "Sotto Sale" where interviews and conversations with famous Italian and foreign journalists and writers are collected. Instead music becomes the main character during the nights dedicated to the opera concerts “Lirica sotto le Stelle” fully surrounded by the luxuriant Mediterranean green of the park.
Since 1984 Bellaria Film Festival takes place in Bellaria Igea Marina: fistly it was called Anteprima Cimana by the local Tourist Agency, but it has always been interested in the independent cinema, poor in means but rich in ideas and work shop of new talents of the Italian and European film-making.
The city offers also plays, art and photograph exhibitions, shows and many other cultural events aiming at the discovery of old traditions, arts and crafts.
